For today’s young people, success is no longer just about how much money one makes or the position one holds, but also the social impact that individuals can create through their work. But how do we really make a difference? How can we effectively drive positive social impact?
This spring, Yenching Academy Scholars in the Ginkgo Foundation 9-week Impact Funding Lab set out to explore this question, diving into China’s rapidly developing social sector to understand how they could support local education initiatives through a venture philanthropy fund. This week, we will conclude the Impact Funding Lab program with the Mission Driven Leadership Panel & Networking Event, open to the wider PKU community.
Cross-sector professionals will join us to share their stories of being bold for social good, and give their advice for young people looking to drive social impact within and beyond their careers.

Strong HR performance is vital to company performance in an increasingly competitive Chinese market. Regardless of the size or scale of your company, navigating the HR landscape of China remains a difficult task. Employers must be cognisant of the latest updates to visa regulations and administrative requirements, whilst understanding the complexities of common labor disputes, in order to implement strong dispute resolution strategies and the necessary precautions to minimise risk and avoid any legal disputes.
Emily Wang from Crown World Mobility will discuss new visa regulation updates and Ines Liu from Dezan Shira & Associates will share her insights on HR dispute resolution, social insurance and other regulatory updates.
